ABOUT US

FM2U Clothing, is a small, POC woman owned Australian fashion brand that specializes in alternative, gothic, and whimsical clothing.

It began with one person, a sewing machine, and a vision to bring something different to the alternative fashion scene. Our founder and designer, Stit, is a self-taught seamstress who turned a lifelong passion with sewing, pattern-making, and fashion into a brand that celebrates fantasy, individuality, and ethical craft.

Stit’s expertise has extended to side projects in vintage clothing curation and educational pieces on responsible fashion. She has visited raghouses overseas for learning opportunities, run meaningful reselling initiatives to prevent landfill waste, participated in runway shows, spoken on panels, and delivered lectures at university on entrepreneurship and ethical fashion practices.

FM2U’s designs are rooted in fantasy and imagination, blending vintage and medieval motifs, pop culture references, and a love for experimenting with form and dramatic silhouette. Each piece is bold, sexy, and empowering. Never replicas of existing fashion trends; only original, carefully designed and produced statements made to stand apart.

Sustainability is central to our ethos. While we use high-quality synthetics for durability and performance, we are committed to minimizing environmental impact. Our 100% organic cotton Milkmaid line, recyclable and compostable packaging, and careful management of faulty garments and samples—reselling instead of sending to landfill—reflect this commitment. We release new items thoughtfully, with no seasonal collections, limited drops every 2–3 months, and a maximum of 3–4 pieces per release, avoiding the wasteful cycles of fast fashion.

Ethics guide every step of production. FM2U partners exclusively with small, family-owned manufacturers, ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions.

Sustainability is central to our ethos. Our 100% organic cotton Milkmaid collection, along with recyclable and compostable packaging, are a few examples that reflect this commitment. While we use synthetic fabrics, they are chosen selectively to fulfil practical functions, such as providing stretch and durability. Even with our approach to faulty garments and samples, we carefully resell or repurpose them rather than sending them to landfill. We also take a thoughtful approach to releasing new items. FM2U does not follow seasonal collections, instead offering limited drops every 2 or so months, with no more than 3–6 pieces per release. This approach avoids the wasteful cycles of fast fashion, ensuring that each creation is valued, intentional, and long-lasting.

Ethical practices guide every step of our production process. We collaborate exclusively with small, certified manufacturers, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and a cooperative approach that honours both people and craftsmanship. From the careful selection of materials to the final stages of production, FM2U is dedicated to creating fashion that is thoughtfully designed, responsibly made, and socially conscious.

The majority of our pieces are made-to-order, reflecting our dedication to intentional, sustainable creation. Only recently have we started maintaining limited stock for our most sought-after pieces, guided by careful demand forecasting to produce only what is truly in demand. This considered approach ensures that every garment is thoughtfully crafted, balancing timely fulfilment with our commitment to environmental responsibility.
